Honourable mention:
“The Wishing Bowl” by Lauren Parker (Ibaraki)

Kinkouji Temple in Kyoto is by far one of the most picturesque places I've personally ever traveled to. The constant detail found in this sacred place is wonderful. This is a picture of the many attempts people have tried to bring luck and hapiness into their lives. Only when you make the toss into the bowl can your wish be truly granted.
