Kizuna Across Cultures exchange program

Want to move beyond the textbook and provide an opportunity for your students to learn practical English? KAC is now accepting applications for its Global Classmates program, an online language and cultural exchange program for high school students!

Co-founded by several JET alums and their Japanese friends, Kizuna Across Cultures (KAC) has connected over 2,000 high school students in Japan and the U.S. through their 6-month (Sept–Feb) online cultural and language exchange program, Global Classmates. Using both languages, students exchange messages, photos, and videos on a secure and monitored Facebook-like platform. The program is free of charge and is supported by officials at the Ministry of Education in Japan and the US Embassy Tokyo.

The 2015–2016 Global Classmates applications deadline is MARCH 6, 2015, so talk to your JTE about applying to this exciting program!

Please direct them to EIGO-NET for detailed information in Japanese and for an application.

English information on the organization and the program is available at KACultures.org; you can also find Kizuna Across Cultures on Facebook (“like” them to follow all the cool things they are doing), or on Twitter at @KACultures.
