Hello Everyone!
The Jelly fish are out and schools are resuming from summer vacation. September is an exciting month for JETs because most are starting to feel comfortable living in Japan and getting used to a daily routine, or getting back into the swing of things from the summer holidays. We also have two public holidays on the 21st and 23rd. I encourage you to explore other parts of Japan on those days, such as areas in Block 8 or visit Shimabara in Nagasaki prefecture to attend the TPR Storytelling Workshop.
As always, if you have comments, questions or additions for the E-Bulletin, please e-mail me at chair@ajet.net.
Cheers!

Summers in Japan are a great time to travel around the country by “Seishun 18 Kippu”, driving, cycling and many other modes of transportation. There are many festivals and fireworks displays happening around the nation during the first weeks in August, please read our All Japan Fireworks Guide for more information.
Have a great August and if you have questions please e-mail me at chair@ajet.net.

Greetings from National AJET!
The plum blossoms are fading and the peach blossoms are awakening, which means warmer weather ahead. With spring break approaching, keep your eye out for travel or service possibilities. This month’s newsletter includes a few opportunities that may strike your interests so keep scrolling. Since most of you will have some free time coming up, you can also show your appreciation for the hard work put in by the members of your community by nominating people and groups for AJET’s Teaching Awards Programme, Internationalisation Awards Programme, and AJET Awards.
Happy Springtime (almost),
Jennifer
