Winter 2012 Surveys

Greetings from your National AJET Council! With the start of another JET year now in full swing, we hope everyone is adjusting well and thriving in your communities and workplaces!

In order to represent your needs, opinions, and suggestions to the sponsors of the JET Programme, we are releasing the following three surveys to assess the current state of volunteering, utilisation, and contracting organisation relations among all JET participants. We would appreciate your cooperation with completing these surveys so that we may better serve your interests in the 2012 Winter Opinion Exchange meetings with CLAIR and the three Ministries. Please find further information about and links to the surveys below:

Utilisation of ALTs in the Workplace:
Please help us gather information about the utilisation of ALTs during work hours through this survey. The results will be used to support a report on how JETs are and can be used in schools for language education and cultural exchange. The goal of this report is to identify and promote ways of optimizing the utilisation of ALTs for both students and contracting organisations. If you are an ALT, please click here to access and complete this survey.

JETs and Their Contracting Organisations:
Please help us gather information about JETs and their contracting organisations (COs) through this survey. Results will contribute towards a diagnostic report on the working relations between JETs and their COs. The goal of this report is to understand and improve the quality and variety of JETs’ professional relationships with their COs. If you are a current JET, please click here to access and complete this survey.

Volunteering on the JET Programme:
Please help us gather information about JETs and volunteering through this survey. Results will be highlighted in a report on the activities of current and former JETs who actively support Japan and international exchange. The goal of this report is to understand how JETs practice the fundamental tenant of grassroots internalization through charitable efforts and identify areas for increasing and supporting these endeavors. If you are a current JET or JET Alumni, please click here to access and complete this survey.

All surveys will be open from September 3rd to September 14th.

Your input is highly valued and we appreciate your time and assistance. Please feel free to contact our projects manager, Anni Pullagura, through our web contact form with any questions you may have.

Have a great day!
