America in the schools

The Japan-America Society of the State of Washington has created a 45-minute PowerPoint presentation for JETs to use free of charge! It highlights the differences between American and Japanese schools – a topic that may hold many surprises for your students! The presentation also includes audio files and videos to help paint a vivid picture of American school life while hooking the interest of your students. This is a fantastic, preparation-free lesson that will help you to promote culture exchange in your classroom.

Your feedback is important to help improve AIS. Use the AIS PowerPoint at your schools and — more importantly – provide feedback to JASSW. Please follow the link here and register to download the presentation.  They will send you a brief survey to complete after presenting the PowerPoint.
