Rainy season is over – to the beach you can go! Head down to Iki Island in Nagasaki Prefecture for some fun in the sun. Just under two and a half hours by ferry from Hakata Port in Fukuoka, Iki Island is home to a plethora of stunning beaches and every marine sport you can imagine. Too much sun? Skip over to Saruiwa, a monkey-shaped rock formation, and Haranotsuji no Seki, a group of old huts that show how Iki people used to live. AJET also recommends camping at Tsutsuki and bringing a car to get around the island. For more information and some gorgeous photos, check out http://www.iki-island.net/ or email .
