Chair
|
As chief executive officer, the National AJET Chair is the face of JET and acts as the chief Representative voice of AJET to the media and other organizations. The chair sets AJET’s agenda for the year and works with all facets of the council to make sure AJET’s goals are being accomplished, and that everything AJET does is in line with this agenda. |

Vice Chair

The Vice-Chair works with the Chair and Treasurer to ensure an efficient Executive body. Duties include chairing meetings where the Chair is not present, preparing agendas and organising the minutes for meetings, and running the AJET conferences and orientations. |

Treasurer
|
The National AJET Treasurer works with the executive council to administer and supervise the AJET budget, including all financial transactions. The treasurer also plays a supervisory role in matters pertaining to the function and productivity of the council. |

Head of Visual Media
|
The Director of Visual Media is responsible for the “look” of AJET, from printed to digital media. Working closely with Corporate and PR to make sure AJET has a clean, consistent look and feel. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for AJET Connect, the new monthly magazine sent exclusively to AJET members. |

The Education and Professional Development coordinator supports you professionally by providing educational resources, conference and presentation opportunities, education news, and professional development course and reviews. |

Director of Volunteering and Aid

The Volunteer and Charity Director advises all community volunteering and aid initiatives on a national level. By provided information on how to get involved in local and national level relief and aid, the V&C Director provides invaluable grassroots internationalization opportunities for JETs and the Japanese communities. |

Director of Corporate Events
|
The Director of Corporate Events (DCE) oversees the corporate sponsorship program alongside the rest of the corporate team. The DCE manages existing relationships with corporate sponsors, supporters, and non profit partners and negotiates special discounts and agreements with them to serve AJET members. The DCE also plans and recruits companies and nonprofits of interest to new and returning JETs to the Tokyo Orientation annual information fair and the Returner’s Conference. |

Director of Public Relations

The director of Public Relations and Promotions manages AJET’s public content, directs all AJET promotional campaigns, and works to ensure that AJET’s image is effectively represented to those we serve. |

Project Manager

The project manager works to identify and resolve issues or conflicts within the different project teams. A key part of this job is managing the research teams for the opinion exchange meetings and setting timelines. The project manager also works to track Prefectural Block Representative activity, projects and NAJET achievements. |

Cultural Coordinator

The Cultural Coordinator is responsible for the AJET awards, JET Effect and haiku and photography contests. If you know of a JET who is making significant contributions to his or her community, or has a unique and interesting hobby in Japan, let me know. Director of Corporate Advertising

As Director of Corporate Advertising, I oversee all advertising AJET does for its corporate sponsors. Additionally, I coordinate desired advertisements with corporate sponsors and forward them to AJET’s various media avenues. My position also entails recruiting new corporate sponsors for AJET in an effort to promote products JETs find worthwhile. |

Activities, Events, and Information Manager

The Activities, Events, and Information Manager is mainly responsible for the coordination and creation of Special Interest Groups, the Activities, Events, and Information Manager is responsible for organizing and promoting SIGs and other events throughout Japan through several electronic mediums, including AJET Voice. |

Peer Support Group
|
The AJET Peer Support Hotline (PSG), at 050-5534-5566, is a listening and referral service which operates on the principles of confidentiality and anonymity. The Peer Support Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and organizing PSG’s many volunteers, as well as liaising to the National Council, and acting on behalf of the interests of PSG and its callers. |

Translation & Interpreting Representative
|
The Director of Translation & Interpreting is responsible for the translation of AJET-related content with the majority of this work comprising translations from English into Japanese. Specifically, the translator is charged with translating the reports delivered semi-annually to CLAIR and the three ministries (MEXT, MOFA, and MIC) at the Opinion Exchange Meetings as well as content on the AJET website both static and consumable. In addition, the translator is responsible for Japanese document authoring, liaising between the National Council and various entities in the Japanese-speaking community, and other duties as they arise. In terms of interpreting, major duties include interpretation for the National Council at the aforementioned Opinion Exchanges. |

Web Developer & IT Consultant

The Web Developer/Designer creates, designs and updates the all AJET related websites and insures an quality user experience. IT related duties include IT support for the AJET council, email management, database backups and finding web, hardware and software solutions for AJET. |
